Independent Alum of the Day
Tina Forsythe earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Siena Heights University where she majored in theatre/ speech communications with an emphasis in child drama and a minor in education. In 2002, she earned a Master of Education degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Educational Leadership.
Tina started her career at St. Jude in Detroit as a sixth grade teacher. Upon getting married she then moved to St. Mary in Mount Clemens where she taught fifth grade and served as principal. Before becoming principal at St. Paul, Tina was a long-term substitute teacher, a fifth grade classroom teacher, and the assistant principal.
On a personal note, Tina was raised in a very traditional Catholic Italian family. Her parents immigrated from Italy in the late 1950’s. Tina is first generation, bilingual, and the first person in her family to receive a college degree. She and her husband, Jim have three children who attend Catholic schools. They are also members of St. Paul Church.
