My motivation

I am motivated by the knowledge that I am, in various ways, connected to the world around me. Knowing this, I believe that I have a responsibility to constructively interact with my surroundings and promulgate certain ideas, such as critical thinking and empathy, to positively affect the lives of others. I am further motivated by the fact that such a process takes place in different ways, from everyday jobs like teaching to philanthropy and activism, so there will always be a way for me to benefit my community.

My latest accomplishments

My latest accomplishment is successfully reinstating the math club at Adrian College - we are formally known as the Algebrainiacs - and I was named president of the revived organization. 

Next big goal

My next big goal is to attend graduate school for mathematics or economics and eventually earn a doctoral degree. 

Why is choosing your own path important?

Choosing your own path is important because of the consequences your actions have on the world. Each person contributes to a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Choosing your own path and then walking it means that you factor into the uniqueness of our universe, which implies that you have some sort of intrinsic value.
