Christal Berry is a junior at University Prep Academy High School in Detroit, Michigan.  Christal enjoys volunteering at a local soup kitchen and through her church.  She is always looking for new and exciting ways to be involved in her community.

Christal is an accomplished boxer.  In fact, she currently is ranked second in the country in her weight class.  But that's not her only recent accomplishment.  Christal takes her studies seriously too and successfully completed her mid terms earlier this year.  She also has a business venture – her own lip gloss line.

Christal is a scholar in the Third 90 Network, an environmental science program of the Michigan Colleges Alliance that teams high school students with college students and professors.

Christal is motivated to reach for her goals.  She's focused and determined to be successful and leave her mark.

Her next big goal is complete her junior year of high school with a 4.0 GPA.  She also aims to move up to the number 1 ranked boxer nationally in her class.
