Cortez Christian is a senior at University Prep Science and Math High School.  He enjoys video games, reading, learning new things, and nature.  Cortez also has an adventurous streak.  He has been an active participant in Michigan Colleges Alliance's Third 90 Network, a program that connects high school students with MCA college professors and students to conduct hands-on environmental research.  Cortez is a mentor in the program, working as a leader among his peers and has really enjoyed his experience.

Cortez's latest accomplishment was being selected as a QuestBridge finalist.  His next big goal is to get accepted to college and succeed in his studies.  Cortez says he is motivated to succeed by the promise of his future.  He believes choosing his own path is important so that he will never regret anything.
