Claire Spoelhof is a sophomore at Calvin College studying nursing. Claire comes to Calvin from nearby Holland, Michigan and attended Holland Christian High School.
When she is not hitting the books, Claire can be found on the courts hitting tennis balls. Claire a the captain of the Calvin Knights Women’s Tennis Team and has been recognized as the MIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week. But she's not the first Spoelhof to swing a racket at Calvin. In fact, Claire has had family members on the Calvin tennis team dating more than 60 years.
Claire is also a leader for Capernaum, an organization that helps kids and young adults with disabilities. Through Capernaum, Claire helps provide those with disabilities a life filled with love, support, excitement, and challenge through weekly club meetings and special events.
My motivation
My friends and family are great motivators. They constantly encourage me to always try my best, work my hardest in everything I do and use my God-given gifts to serve Him and His Kingdom.
My latest accomplishments
My latest accomplishment is recently finishing a half marathon.
Next big goal
My next big goal is to graduate on the Dean's List.
