Elise Hardcastle is a senior musical theatre major at Siena Heights University.
She is active on campus as the president of both Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre honor society and the Siena Heights Acapelicans, a co-ed a cappella group. Elise also is an assistant director of the SHU Youth Choir.
When she is not at rehearsal, Elise is running lines, singing, directing or helping to build sets. Elise's time at Siena Heights University has opened many doors. She has had the opportunity to visit Italy with the choir, obtain an internship in Medora, ND, and compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) with the Acapelicans. Elise will graduate with honors in May, 2015.
I'm motivated by my passion and love for performance.
Next big goal
My next big goal is to get a job in my field and really apply what I've learned from my theatre professors.
Why is choosing your own path important?
I think choosing your own path is important because when it comes to your own life, especially with your career, you need to pick a path that makes you happy. In the end, you are the one who will have to live with your choices. You want to pick a path to make you happy so that you can feel fulfilled.
