Matthew Burger is a senior at Spring Arbor University, studying international business.
Outside of the classroom, he is a dedicated member of Spring Arbor's Enactus team, an organization that empowers students, guided by academic advisors and business experts, to create and implement community empowerment projects around the globe. Matthew also serves as the bassist for the SAU Chapel Band, helping to lead Spring Arbor's bi-weekly chapel services with a team of other musicians.
Matthew also works on campus communicating and maintaining relationships with alumni and friends of Spring Arbor University. He enjoys speaking to alumni to hear about the Spring Arbor University of the past, and is grateful to have a role in building its future.
I am motivated to be the best possible version of myself by my faith and by the people who have had a role in getting me where I am today.
My latest accomplishments
I recently finished a semester abroad experience in Guatemala through my university. While I was there, I completed two international internships and learned more about the Spanish language and Central American culture.
Next big goal
My next big goal is to become part of a company after I graduate in May.
Why is choosing your own path important?
I have been blessed with skills and experiences that will guide me to future success. In order to fulfill my potential, it is imperative that I stay true to who I am. I choose my own path because I know I can do great things.
Favorite place on campus
I like being on stage during Spring Arbor University's chapel services, but I also like the "Quiet Floor" of the library.
