Independent Student of the Day

During my time at Siena Heights University, I have developed many of the personal and professional skills expected of a student in Higher Education. However, I have also learned how to be a competent, purposeful, ethical, and confident individual thanks, in part, to Siena's mission. From years of playing sports I have learned that my two greatest abilities are responsibility and accountability. Being an honest and hardworking human has helped me to be successful, not only in the classroom, but also on the field and in the workplace.

My motivation

Out of all of the things that motivate me, I would say that the greatest motivator of all is making my parents proud of me. They've always been there for me and there's no better way in my mind to repay them than to do everything that I can to make them proud to call me their son.

My latest accomplishments

Received the St. Catherine of Alexandria Award from Siena Heights University (Outstanding Junior Award).

Next big goal

As I'm in my final year in school, I am hoping to finally decide what I would truly like to do with my education. There are many options and I am excited to explore each one before making my final decision.

Why is choosing your own path important?

I believe choosing your own path is important for the same reason that choosing a profession you love is important; if you don't choose your own path, how are you ever going to be able to put everything you have into it? Everything I've chosen on my path so far has been my decision, and I have had great experiences and personal failures along the way. Without both, it would be impossible to grow as a person and develop the skills needed to survive in the world.
